Brimbles

Good venison should not go to waste.

Brimbles is being developed as a premium raw dog food made from traceable wild British venison. It gives suitable meat from necessary deer management the use it deserves.

01 / Why Brimbles exists

A better destination for good venison.

Deer management sometimes requires a cull. When it does, suitable venison should enter the food chain rather than be lost simply because established routes are limited.

Brimbles is intended to give more of that meat a worthwhile destination: carefully made food with a known source and a clear reason for being there.

01

Venison with a known purpose.

Every carcass comes from deer management undertaken for the needs of a site, never to supply Brimbles alone.

02

Care from carcass to batch.

Suitable venison follows a recorded route through handling, transport and processing from the outset.

03

A source owners can follow.

Source and batch records keep the finished food connected to the deer management behind it.

02 / Provenance

We want owners to know what they are feeding.

For us, provenance begins in the field. The cull, carcass handling, transport, processing and batch record all form one connected route, so owners are not asked to take the product’s origin on trust.

The Fair Field Scheme is the starting point for that route, setting standards for deer managers, fair payment and provenance before venison reaches Brimbles.
